Oh my gosh. Where do I start with this post! You know when you have butterflies in your stomach before starting new? That’s how I feel right now and it’s super exciting.
A Little Back Story….
For a while now, I’ve been a fitness instructor. You can read about that journey, which happened during the pandemic in this post. I trained and got my certification through Barre Intensity and worked at this amazing studio the MVMNT society in Alexandria, Virginia.
A few months back I started posting small snippets of my workouts on my Instagram feed and with that saw more and more engagement on the platform. I also started noticing more and more fitness instructors bringing their workouts online as everyone tried and continues to try to navigate through this new world we live in. So many of us are going back to work or settling into new routines that are different from the ones before. And with all this information, it really sparked something inside me to move to more online workouts
Becoming a fitness instructor has been so rewarding. It really wasn’t even on the radar when I started this blog. Back then, I felt like I needed to stay in the beauty space since that was the world I knew. Also, I wanted to carve my own career path as a mom of two who was finding her way. Now that I feel like I have more clarity on that, I want to focus more on serving in the wellness space. {Heads up, be on the lookout for more soul searching posts and moving beyond FBM}.
All About How to Workout With Me Online
This summer, I worked out with friends on vacation and LOVED it. When clients came to the studio, it was always the highlight of my day. To have fun, do something healthy, and connect with awesome people totally fills my cup. I want to keep that going and workout with more and more of you! While I can’t do that all in person, providing online workouts is a start. So here are a few things to know about my workouts
- I promise to make it fun. I want your workouts with me to be something you look forward to. There is nothing worse than that – ugh, I have to do my workout feeling. No. When you show up for yourself, I will guide you through engaging exercises, keep you motivated, and make it fun.
- There are few ways to workout out with me. I am fairly new to this landscape, but wanted to get things started as soon as possible. There are a few ways you will be able to work out with me. First, I am partnering with an online workout site called Kuula. You can sign up for a monthly or yearly subscription, even purchase LIVE class packs. On that platform, I will also have a video library of workout videos that you can watch and exercise to at any time. Secondly, I will also be offering LIVE classes via zoom. Lastly, I am still exploring in person classes close to home and opportunities for private group classes, but one step at a time!

What You’ll Need to Workout With Me
A device and good wi-fi is definitely required. For the workouts themselves, I’m sharing a few of my favorites below. Of course you can totally go equipment free as well!
Ankle Weights – I like just 1 or 2 lbs
Sneakers – for most workouts
Water bottle for hydration
Space to move around
