A Deep Blue Themed Holiday Tablescape
Since this was my first time hosting Christmas Eve and Christmas, I was so excited to create a beautiful tablescape for dinner. This year, I was all about adding plaid touches around the house. But for my dining room, which has my favorite blue velvet dining room chairs and chinioiserie vases, I wanted to keep with a deep blue color scheme. I also have lots of gold accents in this room, which created a nice rustic elegance vibe.
Most of the items you seen on the table are from Target. The napkins, chargers, garland, bowl, candlesticks, votives, gold ornaments. Yes, I had a major haul one day! I fell in love with the Hearth and Hand with Magnolia Home Christmas decor, what can I say?!
The china set is from our wedding almost 10 years ago. I love to use these as much as I can. For some reason, we never purchased flatware so this year I finally corrected that and these pretty gold sets are from CB2.
To complete my holiday table setting, I had in my head a gorgeous bouquet from a floral store, but ran out of planning time. Luckily, I spotted these gorgeous red peonies at Whole Foods a few days before Christmas Eve and scooped them up.
I love the way everything came together. It felt so special to all sit together over this holiday table setting and celebrate the first Christmas in our new home. Looking forward to hosting again next year!
