It’s the first weekend in May so let’s jump into a few favorites, what the internet taught me this week, and mom chats I’ve been a part of.
Mother’s Day is quickly approaching, as in 1 week from today. I’m sharing a few things I love that may inspire your gift giving this month.
1. This Petite Plume pajama set is my absolute favorite. After years of buying them for my kids, I finally purchased one for myself and I’m converted. NGL, hope I get another one this year
2. Mackenzie Childs tea kettle makes me so happy each morning when I see it. If you have a tea lover in your life this is perfect.
3. I pre-ordered the Wishbone Kitchen cookbook back in December and am so excited to get it soon! Just in time for tomato season.
4. My mom has actually gifted me several Le Creuset Dutch ovens and I love every single one of them. With all the pretty colors they offer it’s a great addition to any kitchen.
5. I have these Aerin bamboo frames from Williams Sonoma in my living room and love. Special touch: hire a local family photographer and organize a family photo shoot for your mom and put the memories in these frames!!
6. The Omnilux mask is great at home treatment for the skincare obsessed. I’ve been using mine after talking with other moms about how this was in their wish list! Use this link for 10% off your first purchase. They are also having Mother’s Day sales!
7. I actually gifted myself these adorable crab napkins from Serena and Lily for my Mother’s Day festivities. I can’t wait to use them on the eastern shore this summer
8. I actually gifted myself these my mom flowers from a local florist most years. Adding a pretty vase like this one from Anthropologie makes such a pretty gift!
Helpful Tips From the Internet…
As someone who spends a good amount of time on social channels, I’m always learning something new. From home projects to what the kids are talking about, here are a few things I’ve mined that you may enjoy:
- Have you heard of the Abbey Yung method? Neither did I until I posted about my hair journey on a post. I received a comment to check her out and so glad I did. If you struggle with hair breakage or any unhealthy hair issues, she is your girl. And she LOVES drugstore products. At her recommendation, I have been using this epres bonding treatment and also picked up this K18 hair mask.
- WALK IN CLOSET REFRESH. My current rabbit hole is the IKEA Pax closet system. I have been assembling the structures this weekend and am working with our favorite handy man to customize it. Looking forward to sharing before and afters.
- After creating my Pinterest board with some climbing plant inspo, I headed to the socials for tips on how to bring these visions to life. Jeff took on a project of painting our backyard fence, adding wire trellises, and we planted jasmine to “climb” it. It looks so great!

The Mom Group Chat
A few conversations from the week….
“What are you reading?”
I just finished That Summer by Jennifer Weiner and Count My Lies, which was a fun summer suspense read. After attending a luncheon with Meghan Murphy, I just started Your Fully Charged Life.
Other suggestions from the chat include Solito, and The Wedding People.
“ Up for a game of Mahjong?”
Have you tried mahjong yet? I recently learned to play mahjong and while I’m very very green, I’ve been playing with some serious mahjong lovers. It’s been so fun!
“How was your spring break?”
I love hearing about all the places people go! A few destinations include Mexico, 30A Florida, Poland, Utah and National Parks, London, Kiawah, and Turks & Caicos!
And that’s a wrap friends!
I hope you have a great month ahead. Happy birthday to all the Taurus’s and Gemini’s. And let me know what your May is looking like.
