Small Businesses To Support This holiday

Small business Saturday, small businesses in the dmv to support this holiday season, shop local

Small Businesses To Support This holiday
This year, I’m finally putting together a collection of small business to support this holiday season. I do share on my stories the places I shop locally, but I’ve never fully dedicated a blog post. This one is long over due so it’s time to shop some small businesses!

This collection is a combination of my and reader favorites. Recently, I asked through my Beautycounter email  {my own personal small business!} if there were any favorites to highlight this season. I also polled the question on my Instagram stories. While there are countless amazing entrepreneurs pouring their heart and soul into their shop or hustling on the side, here a few to check out….

Small Businesses To Support This holiday

Winola jewelry, lake winola jewelry, small business Saturday, small businesses to support, Etsy findsWinola Jewelry

If the name Winola sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the lake Jeff grew up on and we visit each summer. So we know Annie and see her wakeboarding pretty often. She started Winola Jewelry, making handmade jewelry in her South Philly home and the pieces are just stunning! You can shop through her Etsy store and check her out on Instagram.

East City Book shop, Capitol Hill book shops, but local, shop small business
East City Book Shop

The best bookshop in Capitol Hill! I already did my first round of holiday shopping there. I picked up a book for me, Captain Underpants for Sam, and a horse book for Marielle. There are lots of gifts for everyone on your list! Shop this local bookstore if you are in the DC area and learn more about ECBS here.

Three littles DC, shop small DC, Union markers children’s store, children’s stores in DC
Three Littles

This absolutely adorable boutique children’s store is located in Union Market, here in DC. I have heard many friends rave about the perfect toy or gift they found at Elizabeth’s curated store.  You can shop Three Littles online and there are even great items that moms need too like bath salts, candles, and face masks.

Eunice Kim photography, dmv photographer, family photos, family photographer

Eunice Kim Photography

Supporting local photographers is a great way to get those memorable family moments while helping someone’s business. Also, I am personal fan of the winter family photo session, which we had the pleasure of having Eunice Kim capture. Check out the beautiful pics in this post!  If you are looking for a photographer in the DMV area, I highly recommend Eunice Kim.

Dilo candles, best soy candles, support small businesses, best hand crafted candles

Dilo Candles

This is a Jeff pick! He has been ordering these soy candles for years.  We just got a new shipment from a recent sale. We love the Burning Cedar, Amber + Oak Moss, and Sandalwood. The Balsam and Clove is a great scent for the holiday! Check out these candles here.

Well spices, support small businesses

Well Spices

This is family owned business that believes in bringing the flavors of the world with you wherever you go. Well Spices offers convenient, single serving spice packs that are a fresh and organic solution. They would make healthy stocking stuffers for the smoothie lover and your most active friends. I met Katie when our kids were in a co-op together! Check out their offerings here.

In this season of giving, I hope you take some time to give back to the incredible businesses here and ones in your community. I hope to do another post like this so please let me know more of your favorite small businesses to support this holiday.

Wishing you a merry day!
xoxo,

Kellie
