Hello! For today’s workout we are doing a 25 Minute Barre Workout with Weights.  Just like my other videos, this At Home session really give you a complete full body workout that really tones and sculpts.

What are barre workouts?

Barre workouts are a type of low-impact, full-body workout that combines elements of ballet, Pilates, and yoga. They are typically done in a group class setting, but can also be done at home with the help of a barre.

Barre workouts focus on toning and strengthening the muscles in the legs, core, and arms. They also help to improve flexibility and posture.

A typical barre workout will start with a warm-up, followed by a series of exercises that target all of the major muscle groups. I my classes, I typically do a warmup cardio stretch, arms, standing legs, glutes, and then an ab focus.  But sometimes I switch it up! The exercises are performed slowly and controlled, and they often use small movements that focus on isolating and strengthening the muscles.

Barre workouts are a great way to tone and sculpt your body, and they are also a low-impact workout that is easy on your joints. They are suitable for people of all fitness levels, and they can be modified to make them more or less challenging.

How to Get Started with Barre Workouts

You’ll find a few at home barre workouts on my YouTube channel.  Give them a try before heading to a barre class near you.

Most barre studios offer introductory classes that are a great way to try out the workout before you commit to a full-time membership. When you arrive for your first class, be sure to wear comfortable clothing that you can move in. You may also want to bring a water bottle and a mat if the studio doesn’t provide one.

Tips for Barre Workouts

  • Listen to your body and don’t push yourself too hard.
  • Focus on proper form and technique.
  • Don’t be afraid to ask your instructor for help.
  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water before, during, and after class.
  • Stretch after class to help your muscles recover.
