WHAT HAPPENED IN SEPTEMBER

So many things! Seriously, this month was a whirlwind. On Labor Day, my younger sister got married after postponing her original March date. Yes, I was a 40 year old bridesmaid. I’m sure that would make a great Rom-com someday. It was a gorgeous and fun filled day and so wonderful seeing my family, especially my grandfather who turned 93 this week.

It was also when virtual school really started to ramp up! My first week was definitely a challenge, but now heading into week 6, I’m getting the hang of it. I hope we can all go safely back to school, VERY soon.

Fall workout look

AND…. I taught my first solo class at the MVMNT Society!!! It was so fun and I’m happy to have those first time jitters out of the way. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still totally green, but it’s so great to get out there and finally do it. If you’re local, drop by a class or check out the virtual streaming pass for $30 per month. My schedule is 8:15 and 9:30 AM on Wednesdays and a few weekend dates each month.

SEPTEMBER CELEBRATIONS

This year, Jeff and I celebrate 11 years of marriage on the 25th. And Marielle turned 5 on the 26th. Usually, we go with a unicorn and rainbows theme, but to make this crazy year special we took a weekend getaway to the Salamander hotel in Middleburg, VA for some family fun. The kids swam in the pool and Marielle was in love with the horses at the equestrian center right on the property. She even had a lesson and it was the cutest thing ever. I’ll share more details in a future post, so stay tuned.

As a Serena + Lilly Partner, I stopped by their design studio on Bethesda Row. OMG, it is one of the most beautiful places on Earth!! We still have a few areas around the house that require those finishing touches. I checked out a few lamps for our dining room and then was really inspired to add wallpaper to our master bathroom powder room. Still trying to figure it out, but in the meantime, I snagged this jute rug for the entry way and one of their iconic baskets.
