While summer dresses get lots of attention, the fall sweater dress is one of my favorite looks. It’s cozy, chic, comfortable, and works on those transitional days where you’re not quite sure of the weather. I recently picked up this mock neck sweater dress and it was just the perfect look for a weekend getaway!

The Perfect Fall Sweater Dress

So this dress is from a recent Abercrombie order. Seriously, I continue to be impressed by my purchases there.  It’s an online exclusive so you won’t find it in store – not that many of us are shopping much in person these days. On that note, I will add that I get overwhelmed by being in a physical A&F store, but their online shopping experience has always been a breeze. And, they are great at offering sales and deals!

Currently, the price for this dress is $69 and the quality is really great. Like I said, Abercrombie has many sales so there’s a chance you can get this for 40% off, making it an even better deal!

I purchased this fall sweater dress in the shade marled light brown. There is also a black and charcoal grey. I had these Marc Fischer black high knee boots and I was looking for the perfect compliment to them. If you started to take notice, I’m kinda obsessed with pairing Black and Tan/Beige together so that drove my color choice.

The size is true to size. I’m 5’7 and usually a small. Which is exactly what I ordered. It is not form fitting so you have that comfy feel – not that you are constricted.

And let’s talk accessories! As you can see, I’m wearing a high knee boot. But ankle boots like this one or this one are also great, especially on those warmer days.

You can also add a belt. For this particular dress, I would recommend against it since the fabric is a little on the thicker side.

A sweater dress with boots can be worn for so many of your fall and even winter looks. It’s the perfect cozy outfit for a date night, can be super casual at a weekend trip to a local winery, in the past I’ve worn this look to Thanksgiving dinner, or just being comfy on a zoom call at home.
