I love a good wedding guest dress post! In fact, they are the most popular posts on my blog. I’m always checking my google analytics to see which content is resonating. My post last year on Fall Wedding Guest Dresses has been holding the top spot for months now. Between that stat and seeing dress purchases from my favorite retailers for these events {Revolve, Rent the Runway, Nordstrom, and Anthropologie} on Reward Style, I decided sharing my outfit details to the weddings I attend is always a good idea.

Last weekend, we were in Philadelphia for my good friend Erin’s wedding. You may have checked out the details of her bachelorette party in Miami in this post. The wedding was at the Horticultural Center in Fairmont Park. It’s so lovely there and full of plants and flowers. While normally, I would have decided right away for a floral dress, I figured that was going to be a popular choice. Plus, the bridal party was wearing a mix of navy, emerald, and florals, and I obviously did not want to match.

While searching, I saw this simple gray dress with a dramatic back. It wasn’t an immediate yes. It seemed a little plain from the front. Then I remembered my favorite fall beauty look – a deep berry lip. I swiped some on and it all came together. The day of the wedding, I kept my eyes very simple since my lips were so bold. I used a simple black eyeliner and topped my lids with lots of sparkle from this palette. I seriously loved the look! Also, I usually don’t wear nail polish on my fingers, but since I got a manicure that day, I went for it! Another berry shade of course.
