I just ordered a few new pieces from Revolve and Shopbop and while I was playing dress up, I thought I would snap some pictures to share. I’m all about neutral style these days. Just keep it simple and easy right?
Maybe after all these years I’m finally learning not to make things hard on myself. In my younger years, I would seriously click on any headline that divulged all the trends and hot colors of the upcoming season. I would have fun picking out colors that would look like I knew what was fashionable – oxblood, gen z yellow, jewel tones! Now, maybe I’m just an exhausted mom, but the more basic the better. Which is why my closet is full of neutrals. And even organized that way!
I’m not against something new and interesting, but I seriously want my closet to be reliable and classic. I mean, 4 different black sweaters that I will wear for years will win any day over a chartreuse one.
One of my favorite combos is white jeans + nude pumps. These two together can work in any season. Honestly, think about it. All you need to do is switch up your top and accessories and you have an amazing look.
So first up, these white jeans are from Express. They are true to size and fit nicely. I like the little slit at the ankle. I’m also wearing Sam Edelman nude pumps. These are the suede ones but they come in different materials and colors. Trust me, these will serve you well.

Here, I paired it with an amazon sweater, where I find myself purchasing more and more clothing from. The material is great and love a marked look. If the heels are too fancy, this works with mules, slides, sneakers, and flats!!

Anyone else get annoyed when you have no ideas if you’re going to be hot or cold? This cardigan is a great neutral style that can help you out.
I’m wearing another amazon sweater – a turtleneck this time. But I also have some basic black tees from amazon that would look great as well.
The Date Night Look
For date night, I’m been obsessed with body suits. They just feel a little extra special. This nude one from Revolve is a neutral classic! It would look so good with black denim or black leggings! It’s also priced right under $100.
The Work Look
If your back in the office, or just dressing up from the waist up, a blazer is an easy way to look polished and put together. This oversized blazer has a great fishbone pattern and will go with all your neutrals!
